i'm new to lb so just getting a feel for the site, culture, and rules. i'll post a picture when i feel it's at least somewhat post-worthy -as i do not like pictures of myself, despite me being interested in certain styles.
for now here's a long description:
i wear mostly black. it's been that way for most of my life. nothing new about that.
but, there's more to style than just sticking to one primary colour -for instance, the design, the practical nature, the context of where to wear what, how it makes one feel, and how does it make me *not* get noticed...
yes, some people at times wear things to not stand out and are into fashion for one's own enjoyment without attracting unnecessary attention.
most often, i do not like logos or brands on my clothes. if they are there, then they may be blacked out, removed, or are t-shirts displaying something about my interests.
i gravitate more to cool color tones (as opposed to warm ones) -that, to me, goes well with my main colour of black. that way i can mix and match what i feel like wearing without much fuss to matching more than 3 colours at a time.
i prefer what i feel works for me aesthetically rather than following the crowd because of a label or associated name or for the sake of convention.
my style interests include a few elements of goth in a modern and clean-looking style aesthetic -with hopes to aim towards a futuristic modern style (someday). this is partly influenced by my passion for technology and the advancements it brings to our lives.
however, i may revert to more of a steampunk style now and then -since anachronism lends a blend of non-conformity to the typical wardrobe as well. although brass, copper, yellow and brown are prevalent in that genre, i may try to replace these tones with a more silver, nickel, aluminum, and black with a touch of blue for a more dieselpunk era feel.
