Living in Berlin has made me freer. I’ve dared to try new things out and my style has changed very much since moving there.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up in a small town in the middle of Germany and moved to Berlin at 20. Started out as photographer for fashion and people at first, and eventually moved onto celebrities before launching my first blog, His View.

His View is all about a look into the life of a young man in his twenties interested in fashion, lifestyle, culture, travel and photography, and the people and personalities he meets along the way. Every person has a story to tell, and every photo and blog entry I have covers something new — and different (quality is always more important than quantity).

What are some of your main passions?
The friends and family in my little hometown are my main passions. They are the source of my energy, and a resting counterpart to the big city I live in high now. Retaining that part of my life is key to my work as a photographer and blogger.

What are 5 invaluable tips you can share about your experience as a blogger?
1. Be authentic.
2. You do not need the best camera — just a talent for taking pictures.
3. Mix H&M with Gucci, and a vintage thing.
4. Wear what you want.
5. Have fun!

What camera do you use to shoot?
A Canon EOS 6D.

What are some apps you can’t live without?
Spotify or Apple Music. I need music everywhere.

Where do you get most of your inspiration?
The best way to get inspired is to go out and explore all the style and stuff people are wearing — and then create your own. For example, I love to walk through Berlin Mitte, or Milan.

Describe your personal style.
For me, the most important thing is comfort (for example — even though suits look super good, I don’t really like them as the fit is so uncomfortable). Besides that, I like mixing different brands and styles.

Favorite color of the moment?
Black is always good. But at the moment, I’ve been wearing camel tones a lot.

Who is your favorite fashion icon?
James Dean.

What’s your dream collaboration?
I am in love with ACNE and COS, and Neil Barrett is my favorite designer at the moment. I loved his latest collection at Milan Men’s Fashion Week.

What does a typical day look like for you?
At the moment? University…24 hours.

What is your go-to grooming routine?
Hair! Love all the stuff of American Crew Products.

What’s your favorite thing to do this time of year?
Hanging out with friends and spending time with family.

How would you describe the arts and culture atmosphere of Berlin?
It’s a very open minded atmosphere. You’re free to be who you want to be, wear what you want to wear, hear what you want to hear…and basically, live your dream!

What are your top 3 things to do there?
1. Mauerpark and its open air parties during summertime.
2. Mitte and Kreuzberg.
3. Anna Blume. Best cake in town.

How has living there affected your taste, and sense of style?
Living in Berlin has made me freer. I’ve dared to try new things out and my style has changed very much since moving there. When I was new in the city, I wore only black, just like everyone else. Today, I’m mixing it up again and am just being me.

Any exciting travel plans?
I would love to travel to New York, Paris and London.

What are some dreams of yours?
Staying healthy is the most important — and seeing where my path leads me. I want to approach the world with open, and inspiring, eyes.

Any hidden talents?
I would love to try acting. Maybe next year.

And what about a few years from now?
I don’t really know. I hope i can earn enough money to live a good life, be healthy and inspire people with my work.
