The Agenda Long Beach show always draws a hefty crowd and this year was no different. Although it’s no harm to trickle in during later hours for other expos, this is one that you want to get in early for (unless you’re willing to spare an extra hour battling for a parking spot)!

One of the more exciting things about this year’s show is being on the forefront of the streetwear industry’s growing appeal to the X-chromosome, with The Babe Show making its inaugural debut and Agenda Women’s boasting an aisle or two of booths – some of which drew so many crowds, they could barely catch a juice break. One of them was Best Breakout Brand winner Amuse Society, a new venture by former surf retail industry executives Mandy and Summer, encompassing the beach rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle better known as “beach vida bling.” Not only is their branding on point, but they’ve been able to drum up a burgeoning fan base well in advance of their official November 2014 launch.

Beyond the rad art installations, galleries and screen-printing shops to the outdoor skate park, clothing line presentations and creative booths, Agenda has always been more than just a trade show. It’s a hub for creative industry, streetwear and subculture life – a place to congregate, make a few memories, learn from one another, discover new brands, catch up with old faces and meet some new ones. Our resident photographer intern Stacey Nguyen of Trendy Outings helped us to capture this experience on camera, with cool snaps of the event and some street-style looks that caught our eye!
