I am a twenty year old fashion blogger, stylist and writer from the Caribbean island, Puerto Rico. Currently studying Literature and Biology, you may ask yourself why would I blog about fashion and my personal style. Since the age of 14, I’ve been involved in communications and the entertainment industry. As an actor and model, I have worked alongside top directors such as Álvaro Aponte Centeno, who was the first Puerto Rican director nominated for a Cannes Film Festival award back in 2012 for “Mi santa mirada”, and Kacho López Marí, a Latin Grammy nominated director for Banco Popular’s holiday special: Con Sabor A Puerto Rico, who has also directed music videos for renown artists such as Ricky Martin, Calle 13 and Tego Calderon. As a singer/song-writer, I worked alongside JC Rosary at RockRoach Studios, who produced the comeback single for Sergio Blass (ex-member of Menudo), and FameStar Productions who have worked with top Latin-American artists such as Luis Fonsi, Prince Royce, and Ken-Y (from Rakim & Ken-Y). Currently venturing into the fashion industry with hopes of pursuing a degree in Fashion Communication & Journalism at University of the Arts - London College of Fashion.
I decided to name my blog Solstizio di Moda because of my fascination with the astronomical event that occurs twice a year in which the sun reaches it’s highest or lowest point relative to the celestial equator and, in various cultures, marks the beginning of the summer or winter season. Besides the term being applicable to the never ending changes and rebirths of the fashion industry throughout it’s changes of seasons, it represents this blog being my diary in which I will share with my readers the ups and downs or highs and lows of my journey throughout the fashion industry throughout my looks, poems, and reflections. Hope you guys enjoy this journey along my side every step of the way.
