Elle China's recent November issue features interviews w/ six girls from our beloved community.
Check out the scans they sent over below! (click to enlarge)
oh please. it's like saying American Elle should only post photos of people of Anglo-Nordic descent.
We live in a generation of globalization, get with it
Does that mean you think "Americans" are only Anglo-Nordic?
Last time I checked if we were going to go by true ethnicity then American Elle should only have pics of Native Americans.
The America of today is made up entirely of immigrants (Native people excluded of course) meaning that you can't really compare American Elle and Chinese Elle.
China is a country made up almost entirely of its native ethnic groups. America is just a huge hang out for immigrants of all races. There's a difference. And if you're 1/4 Chinese then that's great.
how far back in time are you willing to go to decide who the country's 'true people' are?
we're all immigrants to a place, some more recent than others, but where can you possibly draw the line?
hahahaha omg you're argument is full of fallacies
1.) why should a world-renowned publication limit feature to Chinese girls when it's a globalized industry? It's NOT intended to discriminate and exclude the "native Chinese population" but the fact that they're acknowledging the rise of a global networking site.
I'm sure that the ENTIRE publication is not devoted to stylish girls from Sweden and France
What is the problem with 8 pages of girls that aren't chinese in ELLE CHINA mag? ( Except Olivia who's 1/4 ) Fashion makes the people come together. From Alaska to Japan baby!
lol in lots of publications across asia have alot of diffrent ethnicities in their magazines, I pick up several japanese magazines when I'm in little tokyo, and like half are asian and half will have a caucasian super model on it. there is no problem here, your statement is kind of really racist.
