"Dress normally" is a phrase I rarely use in my vocabulary. For me there are so many exciting things to try in fashion than just settle for anything conventional. I guess I am tired of conventional because Ive been there.
Despite that there are so many ways on how to dress, all mapped in a specific name like: preppy, punk, skate, bodycon, 80s, etc. I prefer to go beyond the context of these looks and create my own fashion vocab. I think its more fun don't you think? If the most influential designers can do it, why cant we the fashion folk?

In this look I simply took out the old notion of how a varsity jacket should be worn. Instead of wearing it casually with t shirt and jeans why not wear it with tailored pieces? To offset the formality of the shirt and pants, I chose whimsical touches like the x styled scarf, the spiked bowtie, and metallic sneaks. To add more quirk I wore it with my rounded specs to blur the lines between student/professor/geek/professional. To stamp the look I wore my personalized coif.

It might sound somewhat out-of-nowhere but the very first thought that hit my brain was vintage Thai (or chinese) posters with the political leaders... Don't know why and I feel stupid for even writing it here..hehe
Lovin' this look... I like how the shirt and the scarf's stripes are working so well together... Those pants are great with the metallic sneakers... Spiked bowties anyone? YES Please!!
And that coif is off the hook... Hyped!
Andre Judd
love your brilliant comments Akshay. i always appreciate it. actually there is a vintage aspect in the look. What i didnt mention in the look are old japanese characters in anime ..those quirky doctors with fantastically styled hair and wears rounded specs.:)
Ive seen perth on the 50people one questions vid. ITs not that bad, though a lot of the answers were kind of bordering on the superficial. But hey if that makes them happy right?:) theres one guy though that super touched me. i cant remember what exactly he said but it was like " If i can touch someones life then that will make my day".

Hello beautiful!Love the collegiate yet jock with an edge look. The touches with the scarf and the bow tie are too perfect. And in my eye the cool greaser pompodour/ducktail do combined with the rest of the outfit is such a cool throw-back to 50's rockabilly. Fresh!
Andre Judd
thank you Selle for taking time to check out the details:) yes there is the 50s inspiration there:)
Selle M
No problem!I love that there are people who truly know how to spice up the scene instead of sticking to the norm.
