def like this pullen off very clean man

I like how you used the white scarf to pull together the entire look. Without it your white shoes would have stood out too much against the rest of the black. The cut and fit of the jacket and pants also compliment you nicely :) and I need to know where you shop if you seriously got everything for just $1....

ONE DOLLAR?!?! yikes. this outfit is HAUTE

Well done.
Anthony H.
Ok I lied about 1 dollar ;)

I love this silhouette, and the effect of the crisp white scarf and sneakers against the rest of the dark colours.
I'm really impressed!!!

Hey Anthony really hope I'm not being a pain asking you this all over.. Would you mind at all telling me what kind of jeans these are? Are they just the regular dior 19cm black raw?
(Your looks are incredible by the way)
Anthony H.
Hey Thmoas, no bother at all.
They were 21 cms. Its been a while now... I can't remember if the jeans in the picture were tapered or not, but they are now '18cm' - slimmer than 19cms, but looser than 17.5cm.
Anthony H.
edit: actually, those are definitely before taper. So 21cm
Thomas Z.
Cool thanks a lot!
So Dior Homme's black raw has that black/whitish look (don't know how to describe it too well - like a white undertone almost) to it?
edit- sorry meant to reply, no harm though, I suppose
Anthony H.
I think the word is weft- my denim days slip me right now... but
For black jeans- black black black jeans I mean, Dior black raws aren't the best choice. Dior does have black coated which are black and black.
Otherwise, for just black jeans without the white underneath, what you are looking for is called overdye.
Thomas Z.
Ah, but the white weft is exactly what I've been looking for.. I'm actually -extremely- excited to have found it with a good cut.
..I assume these would be good (in person and all) if I do like the white weft look?
[Also if these are the Diors you had in the jean evolution thread at sufu they also seem to fade great]
(Thanks for the word by the way, I remember hearing it, and its good to know)
Anthony H.
If you do, then by all means it will work for you :). I've actually stopped wearing mine in favor of moar black denim though. Works better for my fits nowadays. You're in Canada- Toronto by any chance? Holts caries them might be worth trying on to see if you like them first.
Contrary to what a lot of people say, I think black denim fades pretty damn well. It just takes longer. I sort of wish I continued wearing them just to see where they'd go, but faded jeans aren't my steeze at the moment :P.
Thomas Z.
Just outside of Toronto actually, and it's incredibly helpful to know where to find them, thanks.
And that's a shame about not going for faded jeans.. Your looks haven't suffered in the slightest, but not seeing any jean evolution pics from you will never be a good thing heh..
Anthony H.
Haha my faded jeans however get replaced with new black jeans- and when they eventually fade- which they will, they get replaced again. I am just not too good with keeping track of my stuff :).
Thomas Z.
Oh hey, I've got one last question if you still don't mind, and then I've got it all sorted out.
For a fit like you've got here, how much did you size down? I've heard anywhere from 1-4 for these jeans but I rarely see them fit this good...
You've helped so much anyway Anthony you have no idea how much I appreciate it, thanks a lot man.
Anthony H.
True waist is 27, those DHs are in size 27 :) Though I probably could have gone down one.
Thomas Z.
Oh man are you serious? I heard they stretch an inch, and are two inches larger than tagged :/.. I am admittedly confused now :D..
You didn't have a problem with stretching after getting them same size as your true waist?
Anthony H.
I had a bit of stretch- which is why I think 26 would have been fine- but I've also owned DH 19cm in 26 and found it ungodly tight. Those however were chino type jeans and not jean- jeans. I honestly haven't worn too much DH to give you a good idea. Check up sufumarket in resale, see how they measure up. It'll give you a much better indicator.
PS, by chance did you post this picture on /fa/? I just saw the picture with questions related to jeans and figured it might be you =P.
Thomas Z.
Haha no, but this pic is posted pretty regularly on /fa/ as far as I can tell -- that's actually the first place I saw this look.
Is it weird when the happens by the way? I suppose its a good compliment to you, but you know....
Anthony H.
Haha I am quite used to seeing my pictures posted around- I don't usually see this one though so it struck me as odd. Definitely a compliment though!
Alex T.
i joined lookbook for the sole reason of posting how much i like this look
