I cant believe its 2011. I havent even given myself time to reflect on 2010 nor write down my resolutions for the new year. Unlike the tons of optimism that my friends have for 2011, I reside in anxiety of the uncertain. Luckily just recently, I finally acquired my 'compass'. Few peeps know that im obsessing on having it for quite some time already. After months of searching... phewww...i found it. With this new piece of heaven, I will be able to bring positive things in my life this year. Goodbye anxiety.
Lately, I have been super busy with parties, celebrations, family gatherings, obligations and believe it or not...with work that is why I have been unable to post looks as often since the 'Xmas lights' look. It aint that much fun when too much is too much. And now finding the time to relax is seriously my top priority.
But before anything else I would like to greet all my friends in lookbook a very very HAPPY NEW YEAR:)!!!!!!!!! Love you all!!!!!:)
The reptilian detailing of the vest reminds me of mythical sea dragon serpents with their scale like hides. The vibrant blues and reds resembled elements of water and fire clashing.
I love how detailed this work is. Good thing my dear friend Enrico Carado's agreed to my constant nagging to translate his spring summer 2011 women's collection to men's.
Enhancing this mythical creature theme, I wore metallic neckpieces that has this armor feel.
Again my penchant for synthesis of inspirations is evident in this look: combining this mythical inspiration with pop punk sensibilities and geek chic.
The title was inspired by my friend Anna's recent status in FB and it certainly is a good title for this look. With my sea dragon serpent as my vest I can breathe fire and create amazing fireworks. Boom boom boom.
