So, the annual period of excess has at long last come to an end and it's officially time to get back to work. As tuesday morning rolled around I could almost feel a wave of dispair sweeping the city as millions of commuters squeezed themselves back into the office attire that several weeks of mince pies, baileys and Christmas leftovers had left ever-so-slightly snug. The fashion world however, marches in time to a slightly different drum. Whilst everyone else gets sucked into the inevitable slump brought on by grizzly January weather and lack of anything much to look forward to, style savvy individuals everywhere are hitting the gym and prepping their wardrobes for FASHION WEEK! This magical time is definitely far superior to Christmas because a) there are less elasticated waistbands involved and b) it comes not once, but TWICE a year. Aside from the obvious excitement of fashion week season being less than 2 months away, I was raring and ready to go come January 2nd because, as of last week, I am officially employed.
