I love the glitz and glam of sequins. Though it does hark to 80s pomp and draggy leanings, one can carry it off with aplomb given the right kind of sequin for the right design. Fortunately i dont have to worry about that because my dear friend Protacio found this incredible rectangular sequined fabric and transformed it into a darling tuxedo. Love the blunt edges of each sequin. Its a fresh new treatment.
To avoid looking too Las Vegas I thought off Dsquared2 and how they paired off formality with something rugged, something denim. Hence the chambray shirt, the fall winter 2010 bowtie with studs, the gloves, and skulls as an added accessory via the clutch. Finishing the look by channeling James Dean and the 50's: the pompadour coif.
