In my recent If I Were Another Person guest post at Return to Sender, I bemoaned my desire for browns and chocolates. So I did something about it and bought the ASOS Curve T-Shirt Dress.
I actually bought it so I’d have something to wear with my turquoise & brown cowboy boots. But they look odd with my legs right now, so that point was kind of moot. Oh well. It’s me, venturing outside of my comfort zone, and wearing a color that is almost banned from my wardrobe!
This is the first outfit post of the year, and rightly so– it’s been the first time this year that I haven’t just thrown on the same pair of jeans, a shirt, a hoodie, and boots. A month & half. In jeans and a hoodie.
It’s been a real blow to my ego–enough so that when I got this dress, I thought I just looked awful in it, when I wanted to look pretty. The Beau told me it was one of the better dresses that I’d bought recently, and that’s the reason I kept it. Maybe he’s seeing something I hadn’t. Or maybe he has bad taste.
But it’s REALLY comfy… which is bad, because I’m likely to start wearing it while I binge watch Greek and make swoony noises over my frat boyfriend Cappie instead of putting it to good use.
