Hello friends of crazy pants : )
In the summer of 2003, we stayed in Sidi Kaouki, in a big wide bay at the atlantic coastline, in magic and mystical Morocco. We were surfing there two and half months. Abdulha, not only a busy business man, always came over to our tent, which you were able to build up direct on the beach and wanted to sell us his bits and bobs….
So after 2 months totally washed by the waves, sanded by the wind and with a few arabic words talking about some things, our eyes stucked focusing on Abdulha`s fine trousers.
A pair of blue Tuareg trousers with a traditional embroidery, in an effect of noble and casual. But on repeated requests he didn`t like to break up with them. Of course we understand that, because who would spontaneously sell his own trousers? We had tried in vain, to find such a quality – Well, otherwise, he always wanted to sell everything he had! In Africa, there is plenty of time for thoughts. So these “biped – wrappings” had to be made by ourselves and that was the point when it actually started as my custom desires met Ebba`s ideas of design.
At that time we did not know that we will go one step after the other and it will mesmerizing us for years and we will work and think for it day after day. Initially we just had no terminology for what`s going on.
