The title is taken from Delta Goodrem's impressive single of the same title. I saw this video years ago and still inspires me. Her voice is amazing and visually the video is stunning. I guess everything i Iove in a stylish film: flying characters, mythic subtexts and goddess in a flowing fabric in the air(well she does remind me of a goddess) are all here.
I love the lyrics of this song too because it is empowering. Not only does it talk about believing in love again but it also could mean believing in yourself again. After you lost so much of yourself in all the hardships you face in life, you fought back and regained bits and pieces of yourself till you are whole again.That is why I love that broken circle in the video where it reconnects itself. I see myself in that context. There will always be forces that break our spirits/courage/will/passions/drive/talent/dreams apart but we have the strength to be whole again.
About the look:
Much like my growing fascination with prints, Im also immersing into textures. These animal prints are taken to the next level by these embossed fabrics. Even the accessories have this 3d effect, having a surface depth which makes for a stronger statement. These surface textures are inspired by Delta's video youtube.com/watch?v=ACtVbD21ZCE
in 1:10 and 1:31. the shine of the rocks/crystals in her outfit and her face are transformed in the neckpieces I am wearing and the rock formations by the cracked snakeskint print of the cardigan:)
