My family members find it immensely amusing to watch me take outfit photos from our dining room windows. It's somewhat unnerving, seeing as I use a tripod and remote instead of a person for a reason... but it's all right, I suppose. Keeps them entertained!

I just discovered the Jim Henson film "Labyrinth" last week (my friends have been urging me to watch it for a while) and am - for lack of a better word - rather obsessed. Nah, that's probably the right word, actually. I tend to fall in love with fairytale-esque movies and/or musicals when first introduced to them (the presence of an attractive anti-hero in most of these has absolutely nothing to do with it), and then later they move onto my list of favourite movies (or musicals, or both). Phantom of the Opera was my first introduction to this, followed by Sweeney Todd, Wicked (sadly missing an attractive anti-hero - the Wizard's not too pretty, nor too anti-hero-y), Les Misérables, Evita, et cetera. As you can see, I'm quite the musical enthusiast. Or something. Anyhow, Labyrinth is my newest favourite (I mean, a Fae king played by David Bowie in tight pants? That wins any day.) and the music is constantly playing in my head! It's quite awesome, I think :)

So now that I've gone entirely crazy and am seeing goblins and swishing capes out of the corner of my eye everywhere I go... I decided today to take a leaf out of our beloved Goblin King's book and play with fashion a little bit. (Hmm, Shayli, you're a fashion blogger. Shouldn't you be doing that anyways?) Sticking with a monochromatic colour scheme, I paired my grey striped shirt with these neat black and white floral print shorts-that-look-like-a-skirt-except-I-probably-wouldn't-wear-a-skirt-this-short-so-they've-got-to-be-shorts. Yay for playing with patterns! It's a new thing for me, and I'm liking it. Huzzah!

I've gotten so little sleep this weekend, so I think now's the time to begin catching up. "Or maybe I'll just watch Labyrinth again." No, Shayli, you really should get some sleep. Do you want to be ill for your birthday? Not to mention, it's kind of creepy that you watched that movie five times in the span of a week. "But... but... Labyrinth! Goblins! David Bowie, tra la la!" Shut up. Go to sleep. "Yaaaaaaaaaaaawwwnnn... nyah, you shuddup...."

Ye gods, now I'm talking to myself - and worse, I'm typing it all out for the world to see. Oh joy. Now they'll really think I'm crazy. "They didn't think you were crazy before? This should hardly surprise them..." Shut UP! Sigh.

Cheers! "Yeah, cheers!"
