James D
thank you for saaayiiiing!! this one's for you, la! afterall, you introduced me to lookbookz ^_<
Arnab Pradhan
I love your blazer! It looks great on you
James D
thanks for that, arnab! i'm glad you like it (:
Harlow Napalm
I really like that you don't have your trousers rolled up and are actually wearing socks with your dress shoes, this is really GOOD, because I'm so sick of seeing guys on lookbook wearing their dress trousers rolled up and no socks with their shoes.
Also, your outfit reminds me of Brendon Urie's clothes when Panic at the Disco first started out :)
James D
haha, thank you so much for that, harlow! to be honest, i get really uncomfortable if I wear shoes without socks - so i never even give thought to whether or not i should be wearing socks. you might be happy to know that any resemblances to brendon urie's outfits are purely unintentional, but i'm so glad you like it ;)
Ivan Johannes
With this look, esp. the tie , you look like a rich cattle-baron from Texas. :-)
If this isn't worth a Hype, I don't know what!
+1
James D
haha, thanks ivan! "rich cattle-baron"? maybe, someday ;)
Ivan Johannes
Where is this place called Melbz at all?
James D
oh i was being silly - it's the beautiful city of melbourne, australia (:
Ivan Johannes
Oh, so you will breed kangaroos instead of cattle. At least they are really cute and everybody loves them. :-)

I really like this James, the neck tie is really fun and creative. Also I saw this blazer at H&M and it is really nice. Very cool!
James D
Thanks so much, Raphael! I'm so glad you like it. The tie was quite a struggle - I couldn't seem to get an even bow!! I'm still trying to find effective instructions to tie "the perfect bow". I was so lucky with the blazer! I never shop in Australia because nothing fits me (I'm quite small for an Aussie) but on holiday in Europe, the first blazer I tried on fit like a glove AND it was on sale, so I was over the moon!
Raphael R
The sale stuff is the best in H&M, I got a $70 blazer the other day for $15! I see you changed your location description which I think will let a lot of people know your in Australia. It use to say "The City" so I honestly thought you were in the USA, I only found out your in Australia from your comment you replied to about the socks. That is so cool. I love Rhonda Byrne and The Saddle Club haha!
James D
Yeah, I wrote "The City" when I signed up, just because when we talk about Melbourne, my friends and I will refer to it as "the city." Since I grew up in "the country" I consider it a big deal to be living in a suburb of Melbourne. I changed it to Melbz (which is just as stupid) but I have so much affection for Melbourne, so it's kind of a pet name. Saddle club? Oh dear, I just cringed, haha! I'm not sure what reputation that show has in the states, but I'm embarrassed by it haha! Meanwhile, you guys have Anish Kapoor's "Cloud Gate"! I'd love to see it one day.
Raphael R
I know there is a new version of the saddle club but i am referring to the old original one..yes i have a love for bad kid acting haha

ach i really want one of these ribbons!
James D
oh snap! i can't believe you gave me a heart!! i had every intention of giving one to your "mini cooper" look - and i will, it really resonated with me. i'm so over the moon, you can have MY ribbon, haha!
J.R.G. W.
when can i pick it up! i have scoured ribbon shops and charity shops for such a neckpiece, to no avail!

i love my mini cooper look! it reminds me of the amazing day i had taking it, just me and some friends rolling around the old factory quarter in sheffield in the sun:)
James D
hmm, well you can pick it up the next time you're in melbourne, australia - just let me know, okay? haha

i know how you feel, regarding ribbon ties - this one isn't even ideal. it's basically just a skinny tie and it was such a pain to finally get a decent shaped bow.

"mini cooper" sounds like a great day - it's properly captured in the look too!
J.R.G. W.
hmm a skinny tie.. i shall think that one through! i dont think ill be in melbourne anytime soon though! aha.

any of your photos remind you of good days? x
James D
well if you come up with an effective way of getting the bow right, i'm all ears!

hmm, my photos are all brand new - they are of course all good days, but it's the clothes that hold the memories for me.

i got the shock of my life just now when i looked at your tumblr and saw my goofy mug staring back! very flattered to be featured, even if it is just because of my awesome tie! impressive tumblr, sir.
J.R.G. W.
it automatically posts the things i heart, i think. i have neglected it a lot recently, i should really get back into it- whats yours? x
James D
what's my tumblr? i'm afraid i don't have one. lookbook is my only online outlet - i've even resisted facebook quite successfully!
J.R.G. W.
my goodness me!

tumblr is pretty sweet though, i like collecting the things that make me smile on it.
James D
haha, your reaction doesn't surprise me in the least!

i'm thinking i will get a tumblr eventually - somewhere to post my musings alongside "things that make me smile" :)

you'll know if i end up getting one.
Karen Dang
Omg, I love the blazer and the ribbon bow tie! :)
James D
Thank you, Karen!! I'm glad you like it (:
Max Gidaley
Well James, I'm glad your looks are getting part of the recognition they deserve. I like all of your looks, but this one is GREAT! I love the tie more than anything. It really makes the outfit. I also think that you should have more hype and many more fans. If/when you come to California, we should shop and shot our new looks! Great work James.
James D
Aw thanks, Maxxie! I'm so glad you like it! The shop&shoot sounds like fun :P
