This look was created effortlessly and on the go. I was traveling and needed to put something together that had more dramatic flair than the other neutral colored items I had packed. The photo shoot I was doing was to promote my guitar strap and music accessory company. I wanted to use something with color because I wanted to pack a punch of contrast against the otherwise urbane and gritty background that we were shooting against in Detroit. It seemed my only natural option was to use my silk robe which has a slight Japanese infused element similar to Kimono robes. I belted it with an extra wide thrifted corset belt I picked up in San Diego. It gave it the extra feminized touch I was looking to achieve. I think the outfit worked well and I was able to capture some really great images due to the extra wide sweeping sleeves that bell out and inspired me to deem the light brown snakeskin leather guitar strap as the official "Jimi" tribute guitar strap.
