Despite the tragedy that befell the life of King Midas, don't you wish that one has that ability to turn anything into gold. Not in the literal sense of course. An endeavor you seek where it turns into something successful. Its a far cry fantasy because we all know that succeeding in something takes work, passion and patience. In life there are no shortcuts. Money can only take you so far. But I think I cherish each endeavor i take because there is always something worth learning. Life after all is one big lesson right? Im just wishing that I pass in the big picture.
About the look. Opulence was the key here.
I was inspired by King Midas, blanket quilting, Byzantine costume, punk rock, coccoon shapes in contrast with geometric shapes. Its a formal rugged hybrid look but worn in a very casual way.
I love the detail and artistry that went into the pieces Im wearing. The quilted coccoon top is actually a fabric created by the designer ( totally ingenious). The weight of the fabric allowed the coat/top to have that slight curve at the shoulder and a volume which makes the sleeves hold that fantastic shape. The neckpiece is also a fantastic piece created by Amir Sali whose creations are to die for.

after the monarchy inspired look which was kinda brit style/sgt pepper-ish.sir andre you have perfected this whole new opulent ensemble,with much effortless styling...
the cocoon like top reminds me of lanvin in a way.i think elbaz would be happy with this one.the texture is very rich and the color is very powerful.gold indeed.the necklace is chunky and very interesting.i dooooooo love the cuffed shorts,i want one too.the shooooooooooooooes has this very creeper like quality to it.and that triangular bag is one of a kind.
