Were you a crammer back in high school? Did you get that thrill of finishing a project or homework at the last minute? Im asking these questions because they are as relevant to me now as it was back then. Though homeworks are replaced by project deadlines and studying for exams are replaced by presentations. Much like high school I have my cramming moments. Dont get me wrong. I dont encourage cramming because it is always best to finish your work ahead of time to avoid last minute glitches (like computer malfunctions, etc.) but compared to high school cramming for me now is not because I didnt do my work ahead of time but I constantly add improvements or changes at the last minute. Call it a flow of creative ideas. Sometimes I like it sometimes I dont because it changes the entire design/presentation/flow of your original concept. If that happens you have to redo everything(going back to square one). Im critical with my work so I constantly edit my work.
It really depends on the person how he/she does things but so far this process has worked for me.

Same goes with dressing up. We have this tendency to decide on wearing something but you end up changing again and again because you just don't like it. That is why I hate planning clothes or wardrobes in advance if i travel because I will end up editing and editing my wardrobe till it becomes hopeless.
I later realized I can decide faster if I dot plan at all and pack the last minute. This is also similar to deciding on what clothes to wear everyday. I work on a time crunch. I like working in a 10 minute time frame to decide on what to wear because if it goes beyond that I think its too much effort already. From there I tend to sharpen my editing skills and select the essential pieces. I can imagine how the look will come out even if I haven't work it. Its what i call my ballpark figure. Meaning you estimate what clothes will suit your body type and estimate if the clothes/accessories you will wear will mesh together.

about the look:
So applying the 10 minute time crunch and ballpark figures why not go all sporty? I chose this vintage mockneck sweater and cap (inspired by baseball) and combined it with texturized black surfaces. A bit Jap/Korean, a bit street, a bit couture.

I definitely agree with your theory regarding the follies of both cramming & also over-thinking/editing work. It's so important to strike a balance to allow the creative flow - the 10 minute time crunches are a brilliant idea! Now, what I love about this look is the way you've reconceptualised the sports look. Also, that velvet jacket is truly splendid! A very successful time crunch, Andre (:
