The house had a brown dog
Spreading through the ghastly endless fog
Was a woman walking and walking
Along the path until she cried stop stop stalking
Me she screamed
But who was stalking this young women walking
Along the paths of her home
Was it the brown dog that came to her door steps?
Begging for some food
Who could it be?
Who was it?
The woman turned the walking into running
And screamed and screamed
Leave me alone stop following me
Please I don’t want to die I have too much to live for
I have to help the sick in our little town
She kept running babbling on with a fearful frown
I will give you all of my hair if you let me live
All I want is to be alive
For a least until my hair grows gray and my body turns weak
When I am old sitting
Week after week
My mind is going to be hurt you know just from the shock of your stalking
I can’t keep running she screamed my breath is worn out and so are my feet
Perhaps If you just walked the other way and left me alone I could keep walking
Again and be on my way
I will never mention you to anyone
Just leave me alone at once and there will be no need for trouble
The fog was so thick she could not see anything not even the trees
When all of a sudden the thing stalking her caught up with her
She screamed who who are you, you are not real
The stalking came to an end that night
And the man was floating and had no feet
The fog sailed away and so did he
