Im still hungover from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part2. Love how the movie translated everything I imagined based on the book. I am just drawn to magical/medieval/mythical stories. There is something about escaping from reality and imagining a world, completely different from ours, that is remarkable. I wish I were in the world of magic. Owning a wand and casting spells would be super.
There are so many things that inspire me in the HP series and one of this is the Golden snitch. It played an important role in the movie. J.K .Rowling is truly a genius for coming up with such distinct characters and objects such as this.
About the look:
The curves and grooves of the snitch perhaps became a subconscious inspiration as I was creating this look. Only when I wore the pieces together along the accessories did I realize I looked like a human snitch. Hahah. The flapping of the wings were even reflected in the multiple bow bracelets. They look like multi snitches flapping wings:) The gold shade also echoes in the sheen of the lurex mesh jacket and the leather of the sneakers.
normally there is an association with the looks I create like there are preppy, sporty, punk, grunge, etc. But in this case I call it mythical casual:) Even the lantern sleeves,the floral piping and the floral detail of the jacket(check the photo of the back detail of the jacket) has this magical world feel to it.
Love how the golds and the khakis blend so seamlessly.
