REBEL IN ME
“A rebel is a participant in a rebellion; or more generally, an individual who resists authority or control.”
There was a point in my life that I became rebellious, not only with my family but also with the world. Rebellious in a way that I don’t want someone taking charge of my decisions or people telling me what to do. It was during this phase that I only listen to myself that only brought me misery, loneliness and nothingness. Being rebellious gives you independence in life, a chance to take charge of everything that you do. The downside to this though is that there’s no one to guide and tell you the right way to do things.
With the military style as my take off peg for the look, I took a vintage graffiti face shirt and removed the sleeves to make it more revealing and paired it with the cargo pants that I transformed into knee-high shorts and finally finished the look with my ever dependable black combat boots. Adding a rock star necklace, watch and different bracelets gives some spice to the whole ensemble. Overall, I created my own interpretation of how I see the given style and twisting the look in the true sense of rebellion.
