When i shoot my looks for lb, the best results come always unexpectedly. Take for example these shots:) I just had a blast looking at them. Kudos to my amazing Cheka for finding my best angles and bringing out fantastic shots.

This look is an ode to black. I love black. I guess a lot of peeps know that by now. A good friend from LB (ehem thats you Robert Dean)calls it my 'Black Period' when i wear black looks straight. I love colors don't get me wrong. But for me the best way to convey your current state of emotion is thru the use of color. Lets just say my day wasn't really going thats why I decided for black.

But instead of wallowing in my emotions I wore black with something fun. Inspired by Charlie Chaplin's travel to Marrakech in the 1920s, I could imagine myself as Charlie adapting morroccan tunics or djellaba into my wardorbe while shooting my next film.

The pieces I wore to this post are very dear to me. They're old pieces form my wardrobe but they are made well and are truly unique pieces. I decided to bring them out again because I missed touching the soft leather of the trench and the cool breathable cotton feel of the tunic. So despite that Im in layers I super feel airy and comfortable.
Whats unique about the vintage suede trench coat, it has these incredible hand stitched seams, which look like lace but are in fact thick bound threads looped many times to achieve this thick rope stitch.
The djellaba was a piece bought at a bazaar years ago. IT has this incredible white embroidery which stands out from the black base fabric. ITs pure drama and goes well with almost anything. I wore it short and long( to show you guys and girls how the tunic falls. I love the idea that the look is belted becasue it gives a sense of severity and tension to the easy flowing silhouettes of the coat and the tunic.
