how did you make the holes/dropped stitches? did you alternate needle sizes?

depends, I alternate needle sizes but also let some stitches drop or add some sometimes. if you drop a stitch or two or three you get pretty big holes :)

that's really difficult to explain in english (sorry, haha) but I pull the second last stich over the last one as if I would knit the end of a piece and then I get a hole and in the next row I add two stitches right over the one I took away so that I keep the same amount of stitches. haha, something like that xD I'd have to make a tutorial I guess^^

oh and if you only want a small hole, just add an additional stitch, it will automatically create a little hole right there
