I realized a lot of the looks here in lb are taken during the day (without flash of course). Even I am not a fan of flash photography. I love how the skin or even fabric radiates in daylight.
However there are a few exceptions where a photo calls out for flash. And that became my starting off point for my look. Remember photos and videos of late 70s disco and night club scenes with all those glistening sequins and light flares? Women and men look amazing in their glittering get up. I noticed that when I used to shoot sequined clothing during daytime, the light bounces off and creates a glare-y effect dulling the shine of the garment. Maybe that's why sequins were worn by party goers at night because they make a darn good photo.
So here I am looking a but dazed in the photo (leaving work-and looking harassed) but utterly adoring how the the sequined jacket sparkled. It's part glam, part rock star, part disco, part world traveller. I just wore a deep scoop neck tee so it wouldn't look to contrived. I wanted an easy styled look but compensated by the load of glitz.
I realized too its been a while since Ive been out partying with my friends. I miss that already. So at least even if im not out partying, my clothes do it for me:)
