I missed wearing my knits so for this look its all about knits knits knits. From the headpiece, to the sweater layered over the shirt. The inspiration came from rugby and preppy uniforms and what if maharajas of the past wore them. Hence a reconfiguration of the look:With a knitted turban, headpiece jewelry, jeweled neckpiece, sport socks and sport/oxford shoes reminiscent of vintage boxing shoes made of leather. Normally this look can be styled without too much thought. But I like taking a typical image of preppy and rugby sports and creating a new context out of it. Again my penchant for postmodernism. Its the inner stylist telling me that a typical sweater look has been done. Its easy to get away with just wearing it with a sweater minus the turban and just normal skinny jeans and sneakers. But frankly I don't like it easy and I don't like typical:) ITs a challenge to bring something unfamiliar and share it with a wider audience to create a new proposition for people, a new option in wearing things. hahaha that's just me.

I love the concept and research behind this look. I really love how you talk about the maharaja. What exactly was maharaja inspired, is it the rugby and preppy uniforms? I normally never understood your style and thought it was a bit much, but now I will definitely be watching you among the few people whose style I follow on lookbook. Great ensemble.
Andre Judd
Ilunga thank you:)!!!! the maharaja reference were the turbans and the embellished headgear. The stripes are taken from rugby and the khaki trousers from preppy uniforms:)
