I was planning on going as Emily from Corpse Bride but I couldn't find a cheap wedding dress anywhere...
I mean, I'm not going to spend 50 quid on a dress I am going to destroy and only wear one night, right? Especially since I am a perfectionist when it comes to copying movie characters, I wanted to make it look as close to the real deal as possible and not wear ANY dress...
So it was the night before the big Halloween Party and I didn't have a dress. Then I googled "Halloween Outfit Inspiration" and some circus characters came up - and I though - well, I could do that!
Funny enough I bought a tiger brooch that day from a Vintage shop (unfortunately you can't see it cause the jacket lapel is turned wrong way... but you can see it on my blog londonlastnight.blogspot.com) and the whole outfit kinda built around it. I already had all the clothes in my closet and some of them have never been worn because there was no approriate occasion. Finally I asked my boyfriend if he had a fly and he did! Finished off with a fascinator I got in Camden, the Outfit was done!
I pinned my hair up to spray it and make it look wild but then I liked the look and just left it like that. For the final touch I added a white lens and painted some scratches over my face so that it looked like my eye got scrached out by a lion. I only used some eyeliner and lipstick for that! :D
I got many compliments for my look that evening which makes it even better. After all, it was a last minute thing! ;)
