I’ve been reading Haruki Murakami and fell head over heels with his books. My last Murakami read is Kafka on The Shore, and it perfectly resembles my dream all this time : about a boy who ran away from home and live in a small library somewhere remote.
I’m a bookworm and I’ve been addicted with libraries – maybe it also the reasons why I keep dressed myself up not too far from preppy-school girl looks, with all my holed frames and socks and long-sleeve blouses.
This is my favorite quote from the Murakami :
Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That’s part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads – at least that’s where I imagine it – there’s a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you’ll live forever in your own private library.
PS: If anyone ever have troubles with old-lady or geeky or quirky/preppy look, just buy this two items : long-sleeve blouses and socks. They always worked.
