In the tradition of the Xmas countdown, I wanted to do fashion spinoff, counting down days before xmas in special stylish themes. After all it is the holidays and dressing up should be super duper extra special.
Today the theme is: POPTASTIC.

I love pop colored prints, the more colorful, the better. For this look I wanted to use pieces that are from different fashion eras and clash them together to create a bold statement. From the 90s I had this vintage quilted jacket with baroque prints which reminded me so much of Gianni Versace's work during that era and this vintage 90s cap with ethnic pop prints. For 2008, I had this Topman Nu rave shirt, part of the collection inspired by the Nu Rave scene back in that which triggered a youth oriented trend in both fashion and music. I love how the prints complement each other despite that they do not come from the same era nor inspiration. The point of this exercise is to experiment with prints and color and create a new context and approach to styling. The accessories are also inspired from several sources such as hip hop, baroque opulence, tribal ethnic and outdoor sports.
