This is completely irrelevant but I hope you read this.
It's supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year but a strong typhoon recently struck the cities Cagayan de Oro and Iligan in Mindanao (the island located south of the Philippines) causing a flash flood which killed approximately a thousand people and left families homeless. Aside from that, more than 400 people are still missing and are presumed dead.
My grandparents and some of my relatives live in Mindanao albeit far from the cities ravaged by the typhoon but I've spent most of the holidays there and summer vacations and so I've learned to love the place and you can't imagine how heavy my heart feels whenever I watch the news and see photos and videos of the typhoon's aftermath.
