These shoes were a semi-inspired, semi-bored project.
I had learned a new korean word: complex.
Not the "characterized by a very complicated or involved " complex, but the 'psychological or physical part of your body you dislike' complex.
And so I started to look myself over from both the inside and out.
I discovered that there were many parts in me , both inside and out, that I was not satisfied with. One of them, my feet.
As I sat on my bed looking at my feet, I wondered what it would be to have a pair of shoes that portrayed your feet in the MOST beautiful way possible. I had seen pictures of people wearing a variety of shirts that made them look as if they had really long hair when in fact, they didn't, and shirts that made them look like they were nude when they actually weren't.
I looked around my room and found a pair of old unworn flats. I had spare time on my hands, so why not?
I took my paints and decided to paint a pair of beautiful feet, or feet prettier than mine. In addition, I used it for a school art project as well.
And here are the final shoes!
Although they don't look THAT pretty, I managed to get them to look like actual feet when I wore them. Some people couldn't tell the difference from far away.
Some said it was gross.
But it didn't matter, I liked it.
