The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
Ive missed lookbook. I have been terribly sick the past few days. I have recovered but I feel that I need more rest. To be honest the latter of 2011 hasnt been easy for me health wise. It has been a yin yang struggle where the opposite end were all the amazing things that have happened (like lookbook's feature last Nov 2011). I just wish that for 2012 the good outweighs the bad.
For todays look I went into my favorite things for major inspiration. Trust me when you've just barely recovered from a bad illness, the world still feels shitty (oops sorry for the language), everything looks pale and for you to face the world again you just want to look bright and haggard free. The last thing I want to hear from people at work would be: "you look awful!":) hehe. What better way to look fresh is by wearing my favorite color in the world...purple/violet. I actually posted an all purple 1940s look before (previous posts) but this time, I added prints and color with a nod to the 20s and 80s. I super wanted to wear this new paperbag waist trousers from Protacio so I dreamt up a storyboard for the look. Like i was at a garden picking purple passionfruit early in the morning. The sun hasnt completely risen so the air is a bit chilly. Im in my paisley pjs with an 80s light leather jacket over my shoulder and a cloche hat.
Love the infusion of classic pieces like the silk paisley print jacket with 1920s cloche hat and 80s rounded padded leather jacket and harem pants. Its tailored yet rugged. I threw in some metallic accessories and im all set.
