After searching high and low for a new little black skirt (aka LBS) I finally found what I was looking for in this American Apparel number. The skirts light chiffon fabric and floaty feel make this incredibly wearable piece a staple in my wardrobe.

This new staple piece combined with my go to black clutch and denim shirt felt like a natural fit. A touch of metallic in these adorable Mary Janes added that little something to this preppy outfit without being too overpowering for a casual dinner earlier in the week.
