This bandage dress alone is pretty cool--the sides are shiny and look to be made of soft rayon and the sleeves are large, quilted poofs. It's very space age. But the bandage dress has been done and done, and one needs to take precautions to keep it fresh. Since I was on my way to one of the world's top ten best restaurants with a food critic and needed to look nice, I didn't pull any punches: sparkling gold tights, brown velvet slippers with golden bees embroidered into them, a Comme des Garçons capelet with the shoulders of various vintage suits sewn onto it, my Dolce and Gabana glasses, and an earring containing the vertebrate of a fox around some quartz, complete with chains of various different metals. I had a perfect pair of heels I could have worn instead but I prefer to wear flats on long nights, and they are more impressive to make look good.
