The title is named after three designers I am so into at the moment. Ken Samudio, Herbert Custodio and Jan Garcia:)
Ken is a budding accessories designer noted for his amazing headpieces and jewelry. His recent collection featured paper rose headpieces for Jot Losa's spring summer 2012 collection. He is my genius mad hatter:) For this look, Ken worked with felt paper to create this cool General's hat. Slightly old worldl feel and a touch of eccentricity. Its my current default hat. With so much drama the hat gives I can just get away by wearing a plain black t shirt and sneakers. As if! lol:)

Herbert Custodio, a dear old friend, is both a clothing and accessories designer. He is the go to guy for quirky, unique, intellectual pieces with a nod to stylish kitsch and playful humor. He can create hi voltage dramatic pieces and create young, colorful, light creations with aplomb. It is why I chose to wear his wood assembled jetplane along with Ken Samudio's General hat because it creates a totally cool dynamic. Both are military inspired but juxtapose each other. dramatic and playful, dark and light, structured and organic, formal and free spirited.

Jan Garcia, a darling of the society and models set, is one desinger I adore:)Humble and deeply charismatic he enchants you with his glamorous creations. Not for the faint hearted, his designs should match a certain type of boldness from the clients. As you can see the jacket he fashioned in this look is a dramatic sculpted piece with high bulbous shoulders, an exaggerated panniere, narrow waist and all facets embellished with iridescent beads. Truly a very bold jacket. It is why I adore his work. And did I mention the back? Cut like a tuxedo in the back with a plunge. Of course I had to wear a black shirt underneath. No skin baring in the back for me please:)

The look was inspired from dramatic and theatrical Tudor Era costumes: puffy broad exaggerated shoulders combined with costumes of military spies in the 1940s.

This was what I wore to the Madhatter's ball event, a bday celebration for our beloved Tim Yap .
