Last weekend was slow paced and unrequited, but equally as enjoyable. I met with many childhood friends and we all enjoyed a lovely chat. A few things have happened between now and my last outfit post:-
- I’ve won my school’s Young Apprentice! The last task was fashion-related so it’s no wonder really!
- My brother and I made another banoffee pie.
- I slipped on a banana peel. (Whilst making the banoffee pie)
- My hamster died on Valentine's Day (RIP Mango)
- It snowed.
You have probably noticed that I’m wearing the same collar and jumper combination as I was in this outfit post. I liked how I wore the pair in the previous post, however, I wanted to toughen it up a bit. Sprinkle it with some grunge. And so here we have the results. People commonly assume that collars are meant to be paired with pencil skirts or something official-looking but clearly that isn’t true.
I do love the 90s grunge era, albeit, it may not be my favourite fashion era. (I’m sorry, the 60s mod shift dresses won me over… and the 70s polazzo pants are todie for!) I do try and incorporate the aesthetic in subtler ways. I picked up the black maxi skirt at Topshop, it was love at first sight! It’s the perfect addition for anyone who is fond of the grunge aesthetic. You can incorporate the colour in many ways, you’ll see it cropping up in many of my outfit posts.
