When my friend James asked if I wanted to shoot some photos at The Met I immediately asked, "but are we allowed to"? It turns out no, we were not. We only managed to take a dozen shots while trying out lighting before we were told to stop. Somehow, the extraordinarily talented James Nord managed to get these while I was casually strolling the European Sculpture & Decorative Arts wing (as one does in red French lace).
