We wanted to play but we had nothing left to play for

Michelle F - Handmade Plaid Ruffle Skirt - We wanted to play but we had nothing left to play for

Last day of classes! To celebrate, I did my nails (plaid this time), and then of course had to dress to match them. These two skirts are from my early days of sewing, when I was in love with everything lolita all the time. The top black one is a little bit short to wear on it's own, but is definitely one of my favourite skirts. These two have quite a bit of poof combined, so I have to be careful when it's windy (as it so often is in Chicago), but I wear them pretty often out of nostalgia anyways.

Thank you, love! They were actually quite simple to do. :)

really? it seemed complicated... do you mind sharing me how to do it? (^-^)

Not at all! I did a base coat in the red, then used a small paint brush to add two white stripes, one vertical and one horizontal. Then I added black stripes around both the white stripes, and lastly I added slightly thicker stripes in the sparkly blue.

So basically, it was just a red base coat and a bunch of straight lines. :)
