A dark take on nautical. Do you guys/girls watch The Deadliest Catch? ITs this awesome reality based show in Discovery Channel which portrays the real life events aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab and C. opilio crab fishing seasons. The fishermen encounter extreme weather conditions and fatigue from the tremendous amount of work needed to haul in the prized catch.
A net/mesh tunic was essential in creating a look inspired by this awesome show. The black and white color scheme conveys the night and extreme weather conditions. The catch is represented by these scales of metal plates adorning the neckpiece. Extreme fashion inspired from an extreme reality based show.
