Army of Love Shop @Grand Bazaar - İstanbul
This unique concept antique, second-hand boutique opened its door to the publish in October 2010. After 3-4 years of travelling through markets and second-hand shops in Europe and Asia, the cloathing and accessories they collected were enough to fill a whole store. Before this, they had collected so much that they didn't know what to do with all of it, and when they came across the boutique in Grand bazaar on Tacirler Sokak, they couldn't resist. One of the most common types of cloathing they have chosen to display are army outfits due to their versatility, especially army jackets, since they go with everything. They divide the products in their store into two categories:
1-) Army cloathing and accessories that have been collected from all over; and
2-) Army & Vintage lines that bring together second-hand materials with their own design expertise. So not only do they collect and sell the stuff, they also have the professional expertise to repair and even redesign these materials to create new models. By recreating designs from existing materials, they have added a new dimension to the second-hand culture.
