I think it can be easy to fall into the over-the-top trendy category with American Apparel. I think they carry some great, classic pieces though so I wanted to do something that was classic. What's more classic than black-and-white stripes? I wanted something laid-back, 60's, and kind of French. This was for a holiday party. I thought the earrings had an Edie Sedgwick thing going for them. The dress was super comfortable, easy to wear and didn't really need any other accessories. And it has pockets. The perfect dress ALWAYS has pockets.
