Stripes, white jeans, mother of pearl and homemade (yes, really) shell earrings - I was channelling a very nautical vibe here.
The most important piece, however, is the Falling Whistle. I bought this gunmetal whistle for my boyfriend as a gift a few years ago, but I steal it back and wear it with pride all the time. Proceeds go to an incredible cause - helping rehabilitate war affected youth and child soldiers forced into conflict in The Congo. As a simple symbol of protest (the whistle is often the only 'weapon' given to children on the frontline who are sent out as cannon fonder) I think it's amazing.
Not only does the whistle look cool, but it is changing lives and really does help get conversations started about the ongoing atrocities in the DRC (every time I wear it, someone asks me about it and I can tell the Falling Whistles story and highlight the issues happening there) Get your own whistle and read more about them and the story behind the organisation here:
