When I selected the colours for the palette, I suddenly realized how much these colours remind me of the Legos I had as a kid. I was obsessed with building houses for the "Belville" series of Legos, and they came with bricks in pinks and greens. Mixed in with that, I also had some black Legos from the knight set I had.
Complete digression, but I got all misty.
Anyway, this served as a great outfit to embarrass my boyfriend, who apparently isn't comfortable with such loud attire. I really don't care what he thinks of it, as long as I continue to get harassed by the rednecks around my small town. That's what I live for.
I bought these tights for ten cents at a yard sale last summer, and it turns out they are AWESOME. Likewise, I feel that tutus can be overdone very easily, and was pleased with myself for calming this one down enough for an outfit.
The final thing I'd like to say about all this is that I love the colours. They gave me a chance to do really cool makeup (which you can't see very well in the pictures), with pink and orange meshing together like a sunset.
