I have been on the lookout for the perfect LBD since I knew what one was. I never quite found one that suited me just right, something that felt like it fit for any occasion. But when I stumbled upon this little black dress (circa 1950s) in a vintage shop in Seattle, it seemed perfect in every way! And upon trying it on, it fit me perfectly - I knew it was meant to be mine! It is a halter top with sheer ruffled fabric along the neckline, and layers of tulle underneath to give the skirt volume. And it fits like it was tailored for me... I couldn't be happier!
These vintage shoes are also a favorite of mine. They are bright red vintage smoking slippers with gold beading, and they're so comfy! I wore them to death though, until the sole of the right shoe started falling off :( I got out my hot glue gun tonight though, determined to fix them! We will see how they hold up after my intervention - I'll be sad if they don't.
The necklace is a cheap piece of costume jewelry I found at Forever 21. It always lends just the right amount of edginess to conservative outfits so I like to pair it with girly dresses or even just jeans and a T-shirt to spice the outfit up a bit. It's another go-to in my wardrobe, and something I wear way too much!
