It’s occurred to me that not a lot of people actually believe I live in Africa. It may be hard to believe because people have the idea that all the people that live in Africa are poor and starving. This isn’t the case, well at least not in my country. Africa has a lot of poor people, yes, but they have a standard of living in which they can make a living and provide certain needs.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I am definitely not a rich motherfucker. I’m, I would say, class average or a tiny bit below. We struggle in the fact that I want to leave – it’s hard to pay for a higher education without leaving my mother in debt e.t.c (but we’re working on it – I have a magnificent mother who does everything in her power to make my dreams come true).
Africa is a beautiful place – the sceneries, the sun, the moon, the sun-rise, the sun-set, the grass, the occasional icy wind, the blazing hot days, the humid nights…everything is great (from time-to-time, I wouldn’t say it’s great constantly because it can get freakin’ hot).
One of the best things about living in Africa, and I think most will agree with me on this one, is the chilling part (obviously not if you’re an average workaholic South African). It’s a pass time, per-say, we do. It’s nice to sit in the shade when it’s hot outside, listen to music, have a cider, a cigarette maybe, wear shorts and just have a genuine chill session
This is what I did today, so for all you LookBook.nu fans/members – WELCOME TO AFRICA, love Brett Charles Seiler.
Oh, and these were my shoes I was wearing. They didn’t come up in the picture because of the angle but then when I want to change the angle to SHOW my shoes, it didn’t come out as great as this picture so here (they’re grey-blue in colour):
