A brief perusal of the earlier posts in my blog make my crappy photography skills pretty obvious. The first few posts may or may not have been captured using the photobooth app on my laptop...but I'd like to think that since then my ability to use a camera has increased slightly. As far as that assertion goes, today could be seen as an epitome. Initial attempts at photographing these shoes took place around 1:00 pm today and with the combination of poorly adjusted camera settings and directly overhead lighting, they basically ended up looking like little orbs of light. Needless to say, this effect was not ideal. A quick google search revealed the concept of the "golden hour," a period right before sunset during which the lighting is considered practically divine from a photographic perspective, and after trying for several hours to edit already taken photos into usable reproductions, I decided to give this golden hour thing a try. These pictures are the very improved result. I'm not saying that they're good, but they're better. Much better.
