I wore my Portmans coat (last featured here) over a cardigan and my latest sewing project - a skirt I made from an original 60s pattern. It was so easy to make I should’ve started with that as my first project instead of a shirt! I’m looking forward to pay day so I can buy some more fabrics and make more skirts! The skirt is so versatile to wear and I just love telling people I made it myself. And just to make it more interesting I put on my bandage stockings from Shopwithromi, an online shop run by a fellow Sydney blogger that sells the cutest accessories! It was actually the perfect outfit because it was both vintage and funky at the same time. The market turned out to be more funky and rockabilly than vintage and pretty - honestly I prefer the latter more
I picked up this crazy fabulous tiki-head brooch from the market. It was 20 dollars, which makes it the most expensive brooch I own, but I saw it and I just had to have it! It matches my red coat perfectly, and with my yellow satchel it was meant to be mine. The over-the-top flame outline is just fabulous isn’t it?! Even the seller thought it was a bit crazy, but hey I love crazy!
