The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
hey guys, how are you? i actually personalized my look for today and i am
excited to tell a story. so last time i checked LB, everyone is up to jeans wear. so this time, i'll make it different with my look and this is really my first time wearing a dip-dyed piece and also my first time, creating a dip-dyed top.
so since someone is curious on how i created this piece, i will not be hesitant to share it by heart. so let's start with a question, how to dip dyed a piece?
First, choose a white piece or any light-colored top to dip dye. you have the option to dye it by half or by whole. so here's my top before dying.
Second, prepare all the things needed for dip-dying: dye materials (jobus), vinegar, salt, a hot water around 30-35 degrees and a deep basin. sorry for this picture for i only captured the brand of the dye i used, i just bought it for 5 pesos or $0.10.
a quick thought, you can use whatever dye or any brands as long as you can create a good piece.
3rd step, let's start. Heat up a water that will fill at least 1/4 of the basin. The water must be 30-35 degrees. Mixed up the dye, 1 tablespoon vinegar and the 2 teaspoon of salt. Note: we are not cooking something here. LOls. The reason why we are using vinegar is to let the color stick up to the piece and the salt is to support the effect of the dye and make it more vibrant once done. Then, dip the piece on your desired part (it can either by half or full dip). Then, wait for 6-8 hours.
Lastly, once done wash the clothes using hands instead of using washing machine. Note: use light detergents for washing clothes. Then, boom boom pow! Your piece is all good. Hope i help on this.
btw, the shoes can be seen and to my friend's page which i model. hope you order. btw, we don't ship worldwide. as of now, it is only available in the Philippines.:)
