Being accustomed to Oregon weather, meaning near constant, unending, bone-soaking rain, I really can't complain about sunny days, but I've got to say it is at least a million and one times easier to get dressed when the weather is just a little less hospitable. With high temperatures exceeding 100 degrees the past few days, my mornings have involved a non-sensically large amount of time standing in front of mirrors trying to rethink tank tops/convince myself that they're a legitimate item of clothing. Today brought a much needed change and provided an opportunity to finally, finally break out the computer storage eating virus that has become my "Layering Inspiration" folder. First up on the looks to try was a vest over jacket combination, and for some reason leather just had an undeniable draw this morning. A denim jacket was added because, really, what else can you pair with excessive amounts of leather, and I figured it would probably be a good idea to break up the inky blackness that would otherwise be my outfit today. Oh, and does the sight of a duck eating off the bottom of a lake make make everyone laugh excessively in public places? Just me? Okay.
