I've always been a huge fan of a well-made beaded anything but my Hollywood club rat days ended the day I retired my fake ID thus, less reasons to wear tight mini-skirts. I know, I could dress up and go to the Bungalow or a West Hollywood schmooze-fest but the truth is that on the westside, the more dressed up I get, the more envious I am of the chick in the corner wearing my usual get-up. But instead of throwing the shampoo and woven apparel out the door all together and succumbing to laziness, I have become the queen of the balancing act. Welcome.
This beaded skirt and knit tank combo (Alexander Wang...my tried and true) is where Hollywood meets Venice Beach. It is the perfect look for a night when you just aren't sure what to wear, and a thrown together look that ensures you will at least appear to fit in wherever you go (unless you're just that awkward, in which case...I applaud you). I found some great accessories to compliment the colors in the mini, including the meltdown ring I bought from YSL a few months ago-scored with that one. Now the only thing missing is the impending trip to Byron Williams to handle those roots. Oy.
