The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
Out and about in San Francisco for a couple of hours. I don't really like going up to the city all that much, but I couldn't miss out on seeing a good friend that's only in town for a couple of days.
Anyways, Hayes Street - lots of cool stores - clothing, restaurants, miscellanea. My favorite is a tiny sake shop named True Sake that claims to have over 220 sakes in stock, tons of which aren't widely available in the US.
I picked up a bottle of Shirataki Jozen White, a Junmai Ginjo Sake. I'm not sure what that means and I'm too lazy to googley-oogley it right now, but it's unbelievably smoothe and pairs wonderfully with sashimi.
A close friend introduced me to it while I was living in Korea. We used to frequent a tiny Japanese Izakaya named 류지 (龍二) and kill a bottle or two at a time. We'd talk for hours, always the last pair to leave at closing. We'd go our separate ways then meet again a short few hours later for coffee before the start of our work days.
I miss that. And I miss her.
